Randall's Island is packed with ballfields for baseball, softball, soccer, lacrosse, rugby and cricket, and hosts many Manhattan youth leagues on weekends. The park alliance also runs free youth sports programs for Harlem and South Bronx schoolchildren.

No. Randall's Island Park Athletic Fields is outdoors, so plan for weather, sunscreen and water.
A neighborhood branch of the Champions taekwondo network, with separate classes for preschoolers (Little Tigers), school-age kids and teens. Children practice kicks, forms and self-defense while working on focus and discipline, and the branch also runs after-school pickup, summer camp and a competition team.
A free track and field program in East Harlem where kids learn sprinting, distance running, hurdles, long jump and more. The summer season ends with a novice meet at Icahn Stadium on Randall's Island.

Inside Marcus Garvey Park in Harlem, this center offers gym time for basketball and active games along with youth recreation programs. It is a free, convenient spot for after-school sports and play.
A year-round in-school program that uses lacrosse to support academic success, mentoring and college access for Harlem middle and high school students. Participants train and compete as teams at partner schools.
