An after-school string program for Hell's Kitchen kids run by the Orchestra of St. Luke's. Children in grade 2 and up learn violin, viola or cello in small group classes twice a week, then play in ensembles and community concerts.
Harmony Program runs free, intensive after-school music programs at partner sites across the city, where children learn orchestral instruments in groups and play in ensembles several days a week. It is based at the City University of New York.
Music for Autism presents interactive, sensory-friendly concerts where children with autism and their families can move, make noise and enjoy live music from professional performers in a judgment-free setting.
A Suzuki-method school in Hell's Kitchen teaching violin, cello and piano to children ages 3 to 18 through private lessons, group classes, theory and ensembles. Parents of beginners attend their own class to learn how to practice at home.
Teen instrumentalists get in-depth jazz training from professional musicians, playing in combos and big bands and performing throughout the year. The program serves high schoolers from across the tri-state area.
