Harmony Program runs free, intensive after-school music programs at partner sites across the city, where children learn orchestral instruments in groups and play in ensembles several days a week. It is based at the City University of New York.

Yes. The Harmony Program is indoors, so it works on rainy or cold days.
Carnegie Hall hosts free and low-cost family concerts and activities for kids up to about age 10, including interactive Musical Explorers family shows and Big Note, Little Note programs for the youngest listeners. It's a gentle way to experience a world-famous concert hall.
Jazz-based music classes for little kids and their caregivers, grouped by age from crawlers to early grade schoolers. Kids move, sing, scat and play instruments while learning about swing and improvisation.
A Suzuki-method school in Hell's Kitchen teaching violin, cello and piano to children ages 3 to 18 through private lessons, group classes, theory and ensembles. Parents of beginners attend their own class to learn how to practice at home.
Teen instrumentalists get in-depth jazz training from professional musicians, playing in combos and big bands and performing throughout the year. The program serves high schoolers from across the tri-state area.
A season-long lineup of kid-oriented concerts, dance, theater and hands-on workshops across the Lincoln Center campus. Offerings include sensory-friendly shows and programs from resident groups like the Philharmonic and NYC Ballet.
Young singers who pass an audition train in the Met's own children's chorus and appear onstage in opera productions such as La Bohème and Carmen. Choristers learn music reading, languages and stagecraft alongside professional singers.
