No. CityParks Tennis at Kissena Park is outdoors, so plan for weather, sunscreen and water.
Flushing taekwondo school with a dedicated class for 3- and 4-year-olds, a children's class from age 5 focused on self-defense and discipline, and teen/adult classes. It also hosts birthday parties and invitation-only demo and leadership teams.
Kids ages 5 to 14 join age-and-weight divisions of tackle football, learning fundamentals and teamwork through regular practices. The fee bundles uniform, equipment, insurance and transportation.
Year-round NHL-size ice rink in Flushing Meadows Corona Park with frequent public skating sessions, skating school and youth hockey. A good place for regular practice.
Flushing branch of Champions Martial Arts on Northern Boulevard. Young children start in Little Tigers, kids and teens progress in taekwondo, and families can use the after-school program and summer camp.
Neighborhood YMCA offering youth sports classes and leagues such as basketball, soccer and fitness, plus swim lessons and after-school programs. It serves the Flushing community.
A Flushing BJJ club that also runs a kids' taekwondo/MMA class three evenings a week. Children practice kicks, basic striking and grappling in a short, focused session.
