Chelsea Piers' new dedicated swim school on the Hudson River piers teaches kids from 3 months through the teen years in a very warm, UV-filtered pool. Lessons progress from water comfort and safety to stroke technique and endurance, in group or one-on-one formats.

Chelsea Recreation Center in Chelsea has an indoor pool inside a Parks recreation center. Kids can join family swim periods and seasonal Learn to Swim classes run by NYC Parks. Swimmers need a Parks recreation center membership, which is free for youth.
A long-running program that holds kids swim classes in the PS 11 pool, from infant classes through 13 stroke levels. It also runs soccer and basketball clinics for kids and teens.
The McBurney Y has an indoor pool with family swim times and youth swim lessons as part of the YMCA's citywide program. It also hosts youth sports and teen programming.
