A Midtown martial arts academy teaching Brazilian and Gracie Jiu Jitsu to both adults and kids, with an emphasis on self-defense, leverage and footwork rather than fight competition. It is a certified Gracie Jiu Jitsu training center.
The headquarters dojo of Seido karate offers Kids Karate for ages 4-12 and Teens Karate for 13-17. Classes build discipline, focus and integrity alongside fun seasonal activities.
A Midtown East Y with a basketball gym, running track and two indoor pools where kids can join youth sports and family activities. The branch also hosts birthday parties and youth programs.
A Midtown fencing club with Mini Musketeers classes for ages 4-6 and beginner youth classes for ages 7-12, plus intermediate to elite training, open bouting and camps. Beginner equipment is provided.
Young fencers learn foil, épée and sabre in group classes, with options for private lessons, competitive training and camps. Classes run from age 6 through adult.
A free-admission outdoor rink that anchors Bryant Park's Winter Village, with skate rentals, group learn-to-skate classes on weekends and Tuesday afternoons, and private lessons seven days a week. Families who bring their own skates pay nothing.
