A nonprofit offering free Goju karate classes to children 6 and up, teens and adults at community sites in Upper Manhattan including the Johnson Community Center in East Harlem. Kids learn karate basics, discipline and fitness at no cost.
Families can rent a rowboat at the Loeb Boathouse and take turns rowing across the Lake, passing Bow Bridge and Bethesda Terrace. It is a fun first taste of rowing for kids with a parent aboard.
