A 75-seat Tribeca theater presenting playful takes on classic fairy tales like Snow White, The Princess and the Pea and Cinderella, written by German playwright Johannes Galli. Actors invite children on stage to help the characters, sing and dance, and the theater also offers kids' acting classes and workshops.
A school-break acting camp at BMCC's performing arts center where kids rehearse and perform a musical adaptation, such as a Hercules musical during midwinter recess. Kids get to perform on a real theater stage at the end of the week.
The Stella Adler Studio's youth program uses 'organized play' to introduce preteens to the Adler acting technique through scene study, improv and technique classes. Classes meet on Saturdays in fall, winter and spring sessions at the studio's Financial District home.
