Near West 108th Street, this was the first full-size public skatepark in Manhattan, with bowls, ramps and rails along the Hudson. Kids can skate, scooter and watch local riders for free.

No. Riverside Park Skatepark is outdoors, so plan for weather, sunscreen and water.
Riverside Park hosts six soccer fields and multiple baseball diamonds between 71st and 107th Streets, plus basketball and volleyball courts. Many Upper West Side youth leagues play here, and families can use them informally when not permitted.
A family activity center where babies, toddlers and preschoolers take gym, music and art classes, with camps and birthday parties on offer. Classes build motor skills and social confidence through play.
Riverside Park has basketball courts at 71st, 76th, 102nd, 111th and 148th Streets and volleyball courts at 102nd, 105th and 148th. Kids can join free pickup games all along the Hudson.
Upper West Side basketball program with weekly skill classes, school-break and summer camps, and competitive teams by grade. Private coaching and basketball birthday parties are also available.
The club's Upper West Side studio near 91st and Broadway offers fencing classes and private lessons for kids and teens. Beginners learn footwork and bouting while competitive fencers train toward tournaments.
Kids are grouped by age: Tiny Tigers (3-5) work on motor skills and listening, Youth Karate (6-8) builds focus and coordination, and Junior (9-12) and Teen (13-16) students learn kata, sparring and belt progression, with teens also taking on leadership and competition.
