Known as the LES or Chinatown Skatepark, this concrete park under the Manhattan Bridge has ledges, rails, jumps and a pyramid after a 2012 redesign. It is free, unsupervised and open year-round for skateboarders and inline skaters.

A seven-court air-conditioned basketball facility on the East River at Pier 36, with glass backboards and scoreboards. Kids join development programs, clinics with the Jr. Knicks, school-break camps, summer camps and private training.
A city-run community center near the Manhattan Bridge where kids can shoot hoops in the gym and join free after-school and weekend youth sports activities. Staff run organized games and recreation programs for neighborhood children.
A neighborhood branch of the Champions taekwondo network, with separate classes for preschoolers (Little Tigers), school-age kids and teens. Children practice kicks, forms and self-defense while working on focus and discipline, and the branch also runs after-school pickup, summer camp and a competition team.
A Lower East Side Muay Thai gym that has a youth program alongside its adult classes. Kids learn Thai boxing strikes and conditioning from the gym's coaches.
