A neighborhood branch of the Champions taekwondo network, with separate classes for preschoolers (Little Tigers), school-age kids and teens. Children practice kicks, forms and self-defense while working on focus and discipline, and the branch also runs after-school pickup, summer camp and a competition team.
A lower Manhattan grappling club that accepts teens from age 12 with a parent-signed waiver. Teens learn jiu-jitsu and self-defense through a step-by-step progression meant to keep training safe.
