No. CityParks Tennis at St. Mary's Park is outdoors, so plan for weather, sunscreen and water.
Neighborhood YMCA offering youth sports classes and leagues such as basketball, soccer and fitness, plus swim lessons and after-school programs. It is a newer branch in the South Bronx.
Tennis center in Mill Pond Park just south of Yankee Stadium with a full range of junior programs for all ages and levels. Kids can take group clinics and lessons on its courts along the Harlem River.
A South Bronx martial arts school where kids learn karate-based martial arts, with teen classes and adult jiu-jitsu and judo too. It runs an after-school program and summer camp and has served the neighborhood for over a decade.
A large tennis complex on Randall's Island home to the John McEnroe Tennis Academy, with junior programs from red and orange ball beginners to high-performance training. Kids get year-round court time under indoor bubbles and outdoors.
Youth soccer nonprofit that uses the game to build leaders, combining practices and matches with tutoring, college prep and mentoring. Reaches about 1,900 South Bronx kids each year.
A Harlem nonprofit running tennis instruction, academic support and wellness programming almost year-round at the Harlem Armory. Since 1972 it has served more than 28,000 kids, many of whom go on to college.
