Home of the US Open, the National Tennis Center runs junior tennis pathways for kids 10 and under through 18, plus junior camps and private lessons. Public courts can be booked by the hour outside tournament periods.
Year-round NHL-size ice rink in Flushing Meadows Corona Park with frequent public skating sessions, skating school and youth hockey. A good place for regular practice.
A competitive fencing school in Flushing where kids train in foil and compete in youth events such as Y10 and Y14 tournaments. Beginners learn fundamentals while experienced fencers prepare for competition.
Kids ages 5 to 14 join age-and-weight divisions of tackle football, learning fundamentals and teamwork through regular practices. The fee bundles uniform, equipment, insurance and transportation.
A Flushing taekwondo school led by Korean masters, with a Champion program for pre-K and kindergarten kids ages 5-6 and children's and family classes from age 7. Older kids can join sparring and leadership teams, and the school also runs camps and birthday parties.
Year-round soccer training for kids 3 to 15, split into groups from first-touch play for preschoolers up to advanced training for teens. Sessions run on weekday evenings at fields in Flushing and College Point.
