Families can rent bikes at Pier 84 in Hudson River Park and ride the flat, car-free Hudson River Greenway, which runs from Battery Place up past West 59th Street. It is an easy way for kids to get riding practice with river views.

A five-court hard-court tennis club in Midtown West that runs a full junior ladder, from red-ball camps for beginners through junior development and high-performance training. Kids can also take private lessons, play junior tournaments and join seasonal day camps.
