The Lee Strasberg Institute's youth program teaches kids and teens the fundamentals of Method acting, including concentration, sensory work, improvisation and scene work. Classes meet at the institute's Union Square-area building.

An inclusive, no-audition theater company based at the 14th Street Y, modeled on London's Chickenshed, where kids of all abilities create and perform together. Classes run from preschool through the teen years.
An East Village theater and puppetry company that blends large puppets, dance and Latin American storytelling in its shows. Its community arm runs kids' workshops where children build and perform with puppets.
