Waterfront pier packed with basketball, handball, pickleball and ping pong courts plus a play turf and swings. In summer the park runs a free youth basketball program here for ages 7–17.

An outdoor roller rink on Pier 2 in Brooklyn Bridge Park with public skate sessions for all ages. Kids can take skating lessons, and the rink hosts birthday parties, school field trips and a hockey league.
Seasonal outdoor skating rink on Emily Warren Roebling Plaza in Brooklyn Bridge Park with two-hour sessions and skate aids for new skaters. A limited number of free tickets go to NYC residents.

A Montague Street academy with a youth jiu-jitsu program. Children develop body awareness, balance and basic grappling skills, and families can try a free class first.
A neighborhood branch of the Champions taekwondo network, with separate classes for preschoolers (Little Tigers), school-age kids and teens. Children practice kicks, forms and self-defense while working on focus and discipline, and the branch also runs after-school pickup, summer camp and a competition team.
