A long-running Chelsea aikido dojo with weekend classes for ages 6-11 and 12-17, taught by black-belt instructors. Kids practice non-competitive techniques that build balance, coordination and cooperation.

A Greenwich Village jiu-jitsu school on West 14th Street with kids classes for roughly ages 4-12. Children learn grappling fundamentals, safe falling and teamwork, and the first Saturday class is free.
