Brooklyn College's prep center has offered kids ages 3-18 private music lessons and group classes since 1978, alongside theater and dance. Trial lessons let families test the fit before enrolling.
Kids take private or group lessons in instruments and music theory, along with ballet, hip hop and ballroom dance, drawing and painting, chess, and drama. Toddlers can start with baby lessons from age 2.
A neighborhood co-op where babies and toddlers explore sensory play, social play and instruments, and older kids take Suzuki violin or lessons on piano, guitar, drums and more. Music therapy is available for young children.
