A puppet company that performs Czech and Slovak folk tales and inventive adaptations with antique-style wooden marionettes, often at East Village venues like La MaMa and Theater for the New City. Holiday shows such as Czech winter tales are a family draw.
The East Village's famed experimental theater runs La MaMa Kids, a program of family performances and interactive workshops drawn from global art forms. Recent offerings include a Philippine dance workshop by Kinding Sindaw and a show called ELEMENTARY.
A New York variety arts troupe that performs old-school circus and vaudeville acts like juggling, clowning and sideshow stunts, including all-ages family matinees around the city. Its Bindlestiff Kids program trains and showcases young variety performers.
