Groundswell pairs teens with professional artists to design and paint public murals across the five boroughs. Youth artists work in studio programs and on community mural projects after school and in summer.

A Park Slope/Gowanus fiber arts center where kids learn weaving, sewing, felting, dyeing and printing on fabric. After-school classes, tween courses, mini camps and a summer camp run through the year.
A Gowanus ceramics studio with a dedicated kids program where young makers work with clay. Children learn hand-building and pottery basics in a community studio setting.
A free drop-in workshop series at the Gowanus creative production center where families build tunnel books, design puppets and sculpt miniature artworks. Each session ties into a current exhibition, and no registration is needed.
A Brooklyn pottery studio where kids paint ready-made ceramic pieces, try hand-building and the wheel, and make mosaics. It also runs after-school clay classes, school-break and summer camps, and parties.
A Gowanus-area craft studio where kids ages 7 and up learn hands-on fiber and craft skills such as crochet and weaving in small workshops.
Structured, hands-on art classes for grades 1-12 held at Brooklyn Arts Exchange, covering drawing, painting and composition. The school also helps students build portfolios for specialized high school admissions.
