The West Village's oldest community music school offers early-childhood music and art classes for kids up to six, private lessons on piano, guitar, strings, voice, drums and more from age four, and children's ballet. Students perform in the school's own concert hall.

An after-school Music Together class at a West Village nursery school where young kids and their grown-ups sing, move and play instruments together.
The New School's pre-college division trains children and teens in instrumental and vocal music with private lessons, theory, and orchestra and chamber ensembles. It serves hundreds of young musicians from around the city.
Parents and young children gather outdoors in Washington Square Park for a weekly Music Together session of songs, rhythm play and movement. The mixed-age format lets siblings join the same class.
