Traditional Japanese karate dojo on Hillside Avenue run by Sensei Peter since 1999. Classes for students of all ages, including children, center on building skill and confidence, and siblings and families often train together.
A community tennis center in Queens Village that runs junior and high-performance programs. Courts are outdoors in warm months and covered by an indoor bubble from October through May, so kids can train year-round.
A St. Albans taekwondo school with classes for all ages, including Zen Cubs for 4-5 year olds on Saturday mornings. Older students can add sparring and weapons classes as they advance in rank.
