A Sheepshead Bay studio training children 3 to 17 in Vaganova-method classical ballet, pointe, modern and contemporary dance. Younger kids start with rhythmics, and gymnastics is offered too.
A Brighton Beach ballet school founded in 2000 where children start with pre-ballet at age 3 and progress through classical ballet and pointe. Students can also take contemporary, jazz, hip hop, stretch and acrobatics, and even piano or guitar, and perform in a Nutcracker production.
Kids learn street dance styles such as hip-hop, breaking, locking and waacking in an energetic studio setting. Dancers can take classes for fun or join the competition team.
